About David

David Assor spent his first ten years practicing commercial and civil litigation at established local and national law firms before founding Lex Group Inc. in 2011. He pleads regularly before all levels of the Courts of Quebec as well as the Federal Court of Canada, both at first instance and on appeal, and advises corporations and entrepreneurs on incorporations, partnerships and commercial contracts including shareholder and employment agreements. He is also a trade-mark agent (inactive). David has instituted and led numerous class actions against major corporations, automakers, chartered banks, hospitals and government bodies, often coordinating with counsel in other Canadian provinces and the United States, and has settled multiple national class actions. He is a repeat guest lecturer at the McGill University Faculty of Law on class actions and privacy law, a Wexner Heritage Fellow (Class of 2019), and was named in the 2024 Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in the Class Actions practice area. He serves on the board of the Lord Reading Law Society and the Quebec Bar's Disciplinary Committee, and is a Governor of the Quebec Bar Foundation.
