About Charles

Charles Cantin began his career in 1991 at the legal aid office in Montreal, where he developed his expertise and interest in criminal law. In 1993 he returned to his native Saguenay region and founded his own firm in Jonquière, and in 2010 he partnered with Julien Boulianne to form Cantin Boulianne Avocats. He has pleaded before every level of court, from municipal court to the Superior Court and courts of appeal, has successfully argued numerous Charter of Rights points across regional and provincial districts, and acted with his partners in the longest jury trial in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean history (the Cabotin case). He continues to comment on legal affairs on the radio and remains active in the regional community.
