About Cam
Cam McKechnie is the managing partner of McKechnie & Company, which he founded in the mid-1990s. He earned a BA in economics from the University of Victoria in 1972 and an MA in economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1973, then worked as an energy economist with the National Energy Board and the BC Energy Commission before returning to school and earning his law degree from UBC in 1981. He was called to the bar in 1985 and began his career as a corporate commercial solicitor in banking and private corporations before moving into commercial litigation, where he has specialized in construction litigation, debt collection, and real estate and property disputes since founding the firm. He now limits his practice to matters before the BC Supreme Court and Court of Appeal and has extensive experience as a mediator and arbitrator.
