Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionCalliope Hadjis was born in Montreal and earned her civil law degree along with a North American common law diploma from the Université de Montréal. She was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2003 and was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2004. Hadjis joined Étude Légale Evangelos A. Hadjis, the firm founded by her father, as a junior associate, then took full responsibility for the practice in 2005 after her father, the founding partner, became ill and passed away. That same year she won a case before the Quebec Court of Appeal (2005 QCCA 947) that has since been cited more than 650 times. Over nearly two decades she has built a practice centred on negotiation and conflict resolution for individuals and businesses going through periods of change, including estate planning, cross-border inheritance, real estate, and civil and commercial litigation matters. She continues to lead the firm, now known as Hadjis Law, carrying forward the practice her father and uncle established in Montreal in 1960.
