About Brigitte

Brigitte Brabant is a lawyer and member of the Barreau du Québec since 1990. Brabant also holds a master's degree in biomedical sciences, with a concentration in clinical ethics, from the Université de Montréal's Faculty of Medicine (2018). Brabant practices in health ethics and health law, as well as the law of vulnerable persons, providing advice, support and representation in matters such as care orders, protective supervision regimes and involuntary institutional confinement, before the courts and other bodies. Brabant also advises and supports family caregivers and legal representatives, and gives training and presentations on ethics and health law for health-system users, caregivers and care providers.
