About Ashley
Ashley Athwal was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2017 after completing Canadian LL.B. requirements through the National Committee of Accreditation. Born and raised in Surrey, she attended Earl Marriott Secondary before earning her Bachelor of Arts at Simon Fraser University and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Newcastle in Australia in 2014, where she was also admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. While in law school she was part of the Law Student's Association and gained experience in family and criminal law at the university's Legal Centre and the Newcastle Legal Aid Centre. She completed her articles with Virk Law Group under Ravinder Uppal's supervision in 2016 and now operates as a sole practitioner, representing clients in Provincial and Supreme Court in real estate, wills and estate planning, family law, civil litigation, and personal injury matters.
