About Ashif

Ashif Pabani is the principal of Pabani Law Corporation in New Westminster. He came to Canada from Uganda in 1972 and earned a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in History from the University of British Columbia, followed by an LL.B. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he competed on the Davies Ward and Beck Securities Law Moot and the Wilson Constitutional Law Moot teams. He articled at a Vancouver litigation firm in 1998-1999, then gained experience at a family law firm and a boutique ICBC defence firm before moving in-house as litigation counsel for a group of British Columbia and Alberta companies in 2001. He began a part-time private practice in 2003 and moved to full-time sole practice in 2016. He is a past president of the New Westminster Bar Association and remains involved with that association and the South Asian Bar Association.
