About Arif

Arif Hussain is a Barrister and Solicitor called to the Ontario Bar in 2017, practising criminal defence and immigration and refugee law across Ontario. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal, representing clients in matters ranging from bail hearings and Charter applications to Federal Court judicial reviews and refugee appeals. He earned his J.D. from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2016 and an Honours B.A. in English and Philosophy from the University of Toronto. He is a founding member and Director of the Bangladeshi Canadian Lawyers Association and a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association Diversity Committee, and provides services in English, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu.
