About Anthony
Anthony Merchant K.C. (1943-2025) was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1968 and subsequently the bars of Alberta (1976), BC (1977), and Arizona (1987). Merchant had a prolific career spanning family law, class actions, immigration, First Nations law, and corporate counsel work, with over 1,300 reported cases in leading law journals and appearances before the Supreme Court of Canada. Merchant was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1995 and received numerous community and civic honours.
