About Anita

Anita Phillips is a founding partner of Morgan and Phillips LLP and has practiced family and estate law since being called to the Ontario Bar in 1992. She began her career in the family law courts of Hamilton and Toronto, where she came to believe that most family disputes are best resolved outside the courtroom. For the past decade her family law work has centered on negotiated settlements, including separation agreements, marriage contracts, and cohabitation agreements, and she has been an accredited family mediator with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators since 2017. Her estate practice spans more than twenty years, with an emphasis on wills, estate planning, and estate administration, and she has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Planners since 2013. Anita holds a B.A. (Hons.) from Queen's University and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto.
