About Anca
Anca Dumitrescu Jelea practices civil and commercial litigation, real estate law, and business law in Ottawa. She began practicing law in 1999 when she was called to the Bucharest Bar, advising clients on legal rights, acting as a mediator and conciliator, negotiating settlements, and pleading cases up to Romania's Supreme Court. She immigrated to Canada in 2007 and went on to study at the University of Ottawa, completing the Civil Law program in 2013 and the Common Law program in 2014, then was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015 and opened her own practice. She has represented clients at all levels of the Ontario Superior Court, from spouses in real estate transactions to parties in civil and commercial disputes. She does pro bono work with the Catholic Centre for Immigrants Ottawa and the University of Ottawa's Refugee Sponsorship Support Program, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the County of Carleton Law Association.
