About Amila
Amila Paranagama is a barrister and solicitor practicing in Surrey in immigration law, family law, and civil litigation. She was called to the Bar of the Law Society of British Columbia in 2021 after successfully completing the Law Society admission program, bringing about 10 years of prior legal practice from her home country as an Attorney at Law. Amila obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law from the University of West London, and a Master of Business Administration from Edith Cowan University in Australia, and is also a passed finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She has more than eight years of teaching experience in contract law, criminal law, commercial law, tort law, and trust law, having lectured for the University of London's LLM and LLB programs, the University of Staffordshire's LLB program, and Sri Lanka Law College.
