She began her legal career as a Court Attorney at the Philippine Court of Appeals, developing skills in legal analysis, evidence review, and decision writing, before moving to Canada and becoming a licensed Ontario lawyer. She holds the CIPP/C, CIPP/E, and CIPM privacy certifications and her practice covers employment, business, privacy, and immigration law. She was educated in the Philippines, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
