About Amandeep
Amandeep K. Sehmbi is a criminal defence lawyer practicing in Vancouver with experience across all areas of criminal law, including Immediate Roadside Prohibition hearings, civil forfeiture negotiations, and managing trial briefs and appeals before the BC Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. She has successfully negotiated stays of proceedings and peace bonds in assault and domestic assault cases, helping clients avoid a criminal record. She completed her articles and practiced at a prominent Yaletown criminal defence firm before founding Sehmbi Law, was called to the British Columbia bar in 2018, and completed Gladue Report Writer training in 2022. She volunteers with Access Pro Bono and has served as a media monitoring intern with the BC Civil Liberties Association, and she speaks Punjabi and has a working knowledge of Hindi.
