About Alan

Alan Gahtan is the principal of Gahtan Law Office, practising primarily in information technology and intellectual property law with a focus on technology transaction contracting, outsourcing, and internet and e-commerce issues. He holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto, an M.B.A. from York University, and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1991 and the California bar in 1996. He developed and taught Canada's first computer law course at Osgoode Hall Law School (1988-1989) and has since taught its E-Commerce Law and E-Commerce LL.M. courses.
