Alan Brass received his law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1990 and was called to the bar in 1992. He has practised criminal law since then, representing accused persons and building a reputation among peers for dedication and ethical integrity. He has taught at Carleton University's Law Program and instructed the criminal law component of the Bar Admission Course, and he has guest lectured at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and judged moot court.
