Business & Corporate LawAdam Baker grew up in Dummer Township near Peterborough and joined Thomas Cole's Lakefield law practice as a summer student in 2001 and 2002. He articled under Cole starting in the winter of 2003, became an associate in September 2004, and was made partner on January 1, 2005, forming Baker & Cole. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2004 after earning his law degree from Queen's University's Faculty of Law in Kingston and a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University in Peterborough. Baker is active in the local Masonic community, having served as Secretary of Clementi Lodge since 2010 and as Peterborough District Masonic Association Secretary since the same year. He has also sat on the boards of the Little Lake Cemetery Company and Victim Services of Peterborough and Northumberland, and has taught small claims practice courses at Fleming College. He continues the firm's tradition of general small-town legal practice in Lakefield and the surrounding area.
