About Abimbola
Abimbola (Bim) Delalu is the founder and primary counsel at BIM LAW, a lawyer, mediator, and dispute resolution professional with more than two decades of legal experience, including more than thirteen years in Alberta. Delalu holds an LL.B. (with Honours) and an LL.M., and practices across family law, including parenting and custody disputes, child and spousal support, property division, mobility applications, and cohabitation and separation agreements. Delalu has appeared before the Alberta Provincial Court, the Court of King's Bench, and the Court of Appeal, and encourages clients to consider alternative dispute resolution before litigation where it can achieve the same result at less cost. Delalu is an IMI Qualified Mediator with further training in advanced family mediation, parenting coordination, and family violence danger assessment, studied at Indiana University School of Law (IUPUI) in Indianapolis, and belongs to the Canadian Bar Association's Family Law Subsection, the Law Society of Alberta, the Calgary Bar Association, and the Nigerian Bar Association. Delalu has also given presentations on family law at the Women's Centre at Elizabeth Fry and hosts the Family and Beyond Podcast.
