About Basra Law Group

Basra Law Group is a criminal defence firm based in Surrey, BC, serving South Surrey and White Rock. Rajdeep Basra founded the firm in 2014 after more than ten years as a partner at a litigation firm in Burnaby. Basra earned a law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2003 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in May 2004, and was formerly called to the Bar of the Northwest Territories in 2005. The firm's work covers driving offences, drug crimes, domestic assault, murder and manslaughter, theft and fraud, sexual assault, civil forfeiture and immigration detention or inadmissibility matters.

The firm now has five lawyers and one paralegal. Mani Sandhu joined as associate counsel in 2017, after running a Surrey general litigation practice, Mani Sandhu and Associates Law Corporation, from 2012, and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in January 2007. Aman Sundher articled at Basra Law Group after a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in October 2016, with a practice that has included personal injury, family and criminal matters. Rajdeep Basra has represented clients outside BC as well, including in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories.
