About Barrila Law

Barrila Law is a small firm in Vaughan, Ontario, founded in 2009 by Gaetano Barrila. Barrila holds a B.B.A. with honours from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and is admitted to practice in both Ontario and New York. The firm's office sits on Jacob Keffer Parkway in Vaughan and its work centres on real estate, corporate and commercial law, and wills, estates and trusts.

Associate lawyer Constantine Fabrikis, a graduate of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, works alongside Barrila on incorporations, business purchases and sales, shareholder agreements, and tax reorganizations. The firm has said it tries to make its services accessible, including home and hospital visits and meeting times outside regular business hours, and writes documents in plain English so clients understand what they're signing.

Its real estate practice covers residential and commercial purchases and sales, leasing, and mortgage refinancing, for clients from first time buyers to companies building out property portfolios. On the estates side it drafts wills and powers of attorney and handles estate administration. Barrila Law received the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award in 2016, the York Region Small Business of the Year award in 2015, and the Top Choice Award for Top Real Estate Law Firm in Vaughan in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
