Freedman graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1974, on the Dean's List, and received the Dean Ivan Rand Honour Award. Freedman went on to practice as an associate and then a partner at another firm, and the firm traces its work with healthcare professionals back to 1976, before opening the current practice under its own name in 2002.
Today the firm handles corporate and business law, real estate, health law, estate planning and litigation, with particular depth advising chiropractors, dentists, physiotherapists, naturopaths and other regulated health professionals on practice sales, associate and partnership agreements, professional corporations and complaints before regulatory colleges.
