About RL Family Law

RL Family Law is a solo family law practice based in Markham, Ontario, led by lawyer Ruby Leung. Leung earned a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009, and has practiced family law exclusively since then. Early experience included work at Parkdale Community Legal Services on landlord and tenant disputes and an articling term at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, focused on administrative law and workplace safety matters. The firm now handles divorce and separation, custody and access, child and spousal support, division of assets, and collaborative family law, along with notarization services, from its Markham office.

Leung went on to complete a Master of Laws at Osgoode Hall Law School, specializing in dispute resolution, and was appointed to the Dispute Resolution Officer panel for the Superior Court of Justice in Newmarket and Toronto in 2020. RL Family Law offers services in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and serves clients across Toronto, York Region, Peel Region, and Barrie. Leung also sits on the Board of Directors of the York Region Law Association and serves as an executive member of the Association of Chinese Canadian Lawyers of Ontario.
