Mulqueen Disability Law Professional Corporation is a Markham based firm that handles long term disability insurance litigation, along with related short term disability, critical illness, and life insurance claims. Founding lawyer Courtney Mulqueen graduated from Queen's University's law school in 2000. Mulqueen articled at an insurance defence firm in Toronto, then worked as in house litigation counsel for insurers including Canada Life, Maritime Life, Manulife, and OTIP before moving into plaintiff side disability litigation. The firm was established under the name MK Disability Lawyers in 2016 and later took on the Mulqueen Disability Law name it operates under today.

The practice concentrates on claims insurers often find hard to assess: mental illness, chronic pain, long COVID, concussion, fibromyalgia, and other conditions that don't show up on an X-ray. Its client base skews toward professionals earning at least $90,000 a year in cognitively demanding roles, among them teachers, government employees, and people in health care, finance, law, and engineering. The team includes a former insurance company litigation case manager and an occupational therapist with a master's degree in law, alongside a senior LTD litigation law clerk with more than a decade in the field. Staff are trained in trauma informed practice and psychological first aid, and the firm offers service in Cantonese and Mandarin through lawyer Ray Liang.
