About Minster Rosman

Minster Rosman is a small litigation firm based in Markham, Ontario, founded by Richard Minster and Dan Rosman. The two lawyers focus on property tax and assessment appeals, civil litigation, and professional regulation matters, representing both property owners and municipalities before the Assessment Review Board and at every level of Ontario court. Minster brings more than three decades of experience in property tax and civil disputes, and Rosman has worked in property assessment and tax litigation for more than a decade, so between them the firm counts more than 40 years of combined litigation experience.

One credential sets the practice apart: Minster holds both a law degree and a medical degree from the University of Toronto, a combination the firm describes as putting it at the intersection of health law and property law. That mix carries through the firm's professional regulation work, where it defends regulated health care professionals in Ontario through complaints, investigations, and disciplinary hearings, and into the appeals it argues at the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal. Rosman studied law at the University of Ottawa and the University of Toronto and has appeared before every level of Ontario court, from the Superior Court of Justice up to the Court of Appeal.
