Holam Law PC is a two-partner family law firm based in central Markham, Ontario, founded in 2019 by Janice Ho and Lucia Lam. Ho earned an LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 2007 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008, building over a decade of practice in custody and parenting arrangements, support, and property division before co-founding the firm. Lam holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School (2012) and an Honours B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013, practicing exclusively in family law since then.
The firm handles the full range of family law matters, including parenting schedules, child and spousal support, property division, divorce, separation agreements, marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements, and it also offers notary public services through a partnership with Downtown Notary. Both partners belong to Ontario's Family Law Limited Scope Services Project, which lets clients retain the firm for a discrete task, such as reviewing a draft agreement or appearing at a single motion, rather than paying for full representation on a file. Ho and Lam are also members of the Association of Chinese Canadian Lawyers of Ontario, along with the York Region and Durham Region law associations.
