About Eklove Family Law

Eklove Family Law is a sole practice in Markham, Ontario, run by Lianne Eklove. The practice has focused exclusively on family law since Eklove's call to the bar in 1993, after more than a decade at a Bay Street family law firm. Eklove moved the practice to York Region in 2005 and has run the Markham office since. The firm handles divorce, separation, custody and access, child and spousal support, division of property, constructive trust claims, motions to change, and notarizations, alongside collaborative family law matters for clients who want to resolve things outside of court.

Eklove holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from McGill University and an LLB (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa, earned in 1991. The practice has taken on high conflict family law matters across Ontario and has appeared at every level of court in the province, including the Court of Appeal. Eklove has also authored and co-authored papers and precedent materials on family law topics, including a separation agreement precedent developed for use by the family law bar.
