KLS Law is a small family and estates practice run by Karen Lindsay-Skynner, a barrister and solicitor with offices in Markham and in Toronto's North York. The firm handles divorce, separation agreements, marriage contracts, custody and access, child and spousal support, and property division, along with wills, powers of attorney, guardianships, estate litigation, and child protection matters. Its tagline, "Communicate. Mediate. Advocate.", reflects a practice that leans on mediation first: a confidential, without prejudice process that can still be used after a court case has already begun, with litigation kept for disputes that mediation can't resolve.

Lindsay-Skynner has practiced family and estate law for 30 years. Credentials beyond the caseload include accreditation as a Family Mediator through the Ontario Association for Family Mediation, membership on the Office of the Children's Lawyer panel since 2010, and a part-time adjudicator role with the Consent and Capacity Board of Ontario since 2002. A former instructor in the Law Society's Bar Admission Course, Lindsay-Skynner still lectures at continuing legal education programs run by Osgoode, Legal Aid Ontario, the Law Society, and the Consent and Capacity Board.

Office manager and law clerk Tammy Dawson rounds out the firm, with more than 22 years of experience as a law clerk and legal assistant and a Law Clerk Certificate with Honours from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. Dawson has worked with Lindsay-Skynner since 2010.
