About Santarossa Law

Santarossa Law is a solo criminal defence practice in Windsor, Ontario, run by lawyer Julie Santarossa from an office on Pitt Street East in downtown Windsor. The practice doesn't take on any other kind of work; it handles charges ranging from assault and sexual assault to drug offences, impaired driving, and regulatory prosecutions under statutes like the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Santarossa has run the firm since 2012, representing clients in trials before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, and in appeals before the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Santarossa was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008, after earning a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Windsor. Before law school, a Master of Science in Forensic Archaeology from Bournemouth University in England gave the academic background an unusual angle for a criminal defence practice. Santarossa's early years at the bar were spent at Ducharme Fox LLP in Windsor, working alongside criminal defence lawyer Patrick Ducharme, then at the Toronto firm Lockyer Campbell Posner, which handles criminal appeals, before Santarossa Law opened its doors in 2012.
