Eric Uhlmann Criminal Defence is a Kitchener practice given over entirely to criminal law, the only field Eric Uhlmann has ever worked in. Serious charges prosecuted by indictment
The practice is focused on certain offences, broadly the more serious matters where the Crown is proceeding by indictment. Its assault files cover all aggravated assault and assault with choking cases, along with simple assault or assault with a weapon where the Crown has gone by indictment.
Sexual assault and drug trafficking
Sexual assault defence includes the complex pretrial motions that many sexual assault trials involve. Uhlmann also has extensive experience defending drug trafficking allegations under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, though Legal Aid isn't accepted for those matters.
Robbery and break and enter
Robbery and breaking and entering a dwelling house both fall within the practice. Theft, fraud and mischief files no longer do.
Appeals
