Bellin Law is a small firm based in Cambridge, in Ontario's Waterloo Region, with a second office in downtown Toronto. It's run by Danny Bellin and works in three main areas: civil and commercial litigation, business and corporate law, and wills, trusts and estates. The litigation side runs from commercial and employment disputes to personal injury, wrongful death, real estate, franchise and insurance matters, and Small Claims Court. The business practice leans toward small and medium sized companies, covering incorporations, shareholder and franchise agreements, commercial leases, purchases and sales, and succession planning, and the firm says it works alongside a client's accountant and tax advisor when structuring a company.
The founder's path to law wasn't a straight line. Danny Bellin earned an honours business degree from York University's Schulich School of Business in 1984, spent about a decade in manufacturing, then completed a law degree at the University of Ottawa. A first-generation Canadian and the child of Italian immigrants, Bellin holds Canadian and Italian citizenship and works in both English and Italian. The firm grew largely through word-of-mouth referrals, and in 2021 it joined Digital Main Street's Future Proof program with Communitech to bring its online presence together in one place.

The firm's working base is on Westcliff Way, a quiet residential street in Cambridge rather than a downtown tower, which fits a practice that runs largely on referrals and keeps overhead low. Cambridge sits in Waterloo Region, a part of Ontario known as much for its manufacturing base as for the newer tech sector clustered around Communitech, and a firm built around small and medium sized businesses, commercial contracts and franchise agreements has that kind of client close at hand. The Toronto office at Suite 1700, 65 Queen Street West, gives clients in the city a downtown meeting point, but Cambridge is where the firm is headquartered.
