History
David Matheson left York Regional Police on March 31, 1988, and began work as a paralegal the following day. By 2002 the business was operating as X-Copper Legal Services Inc., and its "We Win or it’s Free!" guarantee had already taken shape.
In September 2008 a group of four owners, Peter S. Dotsikas among them, acquired the business. By 2010 X-Copper was owned by lawyers and licensed paralegals and was practising as X-Copper Legal Services Professional Corporation.
