WazanaLaw is a solo immigration and refugee law practice based at St. Clair Avenue West and Lansdowne Avenue in Toronto's west end. Richard Wazana, the firm's founder, graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2005, articled at Green and Spiegel LLP, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2006. WazanaLaw's office sits beside a TD bank branch at the southeast corner of St. Clair Avenue West and Lansdowne Avenue, at the eastern edge of Corso Italia, Toronto's St. Clair West Italian commercial strip. The corridor was first known as Earlscourt after the Anglo-Celtic settlers who founded it, and took on its present character as Italian immigrants moved into the area by the 1970s. A dedicated streetcar lane still runs down the middle of St. Clair West, linking the strip to the subway.
