About Titan Defence LLP

Titan Defence LLP is a criminal defence firm on College Street in Toronto's Little Italy. Sina Shabestary, called to the Ontario bar in 2016, and Kabir Sharma, called in 2015, are the firm's founding partners. Shabestary worked as a Crown attorney and duty counsel before moving into private practice, later representing clients as a sole practitioner before Titan Defence formed. Sharma earned a J.D. from Queen's University after a bachelor's degree at York University, then worked as Legal Aid Ontario counsel on Extremely Serious Matters cases. Associate Jashan Mavi joined after completing articles at the firm, holding a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Toronto.

The firm handles the full range of criminal charges, from bail hearings through trial, covering assault, sexual offences, drug charges, fraud, and firearms matters. It also represents victims of crime, since the Crown and police don't act as counsel for a complainant in the court process, and takes on cases where a criminal charge could affect a client's work permit or immigration status. English is joined by Farsi, Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi among the languages spoken at the firm.
