The Jaswal Institute is a Toronto business law firm that pairs legal advisory with investment banking services for small and mid-market companies. It's run by Managing Director Johnny Jaswal, who holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering from Ryerson University, and who is a member of the Ontario Bar. Before founding the firm, Jaswal worked as an investment banker at TD Securities, in corporate development and strategy at TMX Group, the parent company of the Toronto Stock Exchange, and as a business lawyer at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and Goodmans LLP.

The firm's work combines transactional legal advice, government relations, and investment banking advisory covering mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, valuations, and growth financing. Past mandates described on its site include acting as exclusive legal advisor to RSquared, a Queen Street West coffee house, on its sale to cannabis brand Tokyo Smoke, and advising AIP Asset Management Inc. on a note purchase agreement that financed Carl Data Solutions Inc. Jaswal has also advised on digital asset regulation, including Antigua and Barbuda's Digital Assets Business Bill, and co-wrote 'Peoples, BCE, and the Good Corporate Citizen' with Osgoode Hall professor Edward J. Waitzer, published in the Osgoode Hall Law Journal in 2009.
