About Somogyi Law Group

Somogyi Law Group is a Toronto personal injury firm founded by Adam A. Somogyi in November 2019, with an office on Sheppard Avenue West in North York, near Sheppard West subway station. The firm takes on motor vehicle, motorcycle and pedestrian accident claims along with ATV and boat accidents, slip and trip and fall cases, occupier's liability, long term disability claims, wrongful death, and brain and spinal cord injury matters. Before starting the firm, Somogyi worked at other personal injury firms, then built Somogyi Law Group around a client first approach rather than a one size fits all method.

The team brings a combined total of more than 50 years in personal injury law. Somogyi has appeared before the Ontario Divisional Court, the Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the License Appeals Tribunal, and serves as an articling principal, training junior lawyers at the firm. Senior paralegal Susanne Young has worked in the insurance industry since 1990, and senior law clerk Claudia Abreu is fluent in English and Portuguese with working proficiency in Spanish. The firm works on contingency, capping its fee at 33% excluding disbursements and HST, and covers case costs upfront so clients don't pay out of pocket while a claim moves forward. Since founding in 2019, the firm reports obtaining more than $30 million in compensation for clients.
