Slattery & Slattery is a small Toronto firm that focuses entirely on Aboriginal law. It represents Indigenous clients and Band Councils and collaborates with outside legal counsel on files rather than trying to be a general practice. The firm's core work is legal and historical research into Aboriginal and Treaty rights in Canada, along with genealogical research into family history, work it describes as tying the past to the present.

The firm is built around its two named partners. Brian Slattery, the firm's research director, holds a doctorate in law from Oxford, a law degree from McGill, and a bachelor's degree in English from Loyola College of Montreal. A Professor Emeritus at Osgoode Hall Law School, Brian Slattery spent an academic career studying Aboriginal rights and constitutional law and no longer practices law day to day, focusing instead on research and writing. Michael Slattery, the firm's legal counsel, holds a law degree from Western, a master's in Environmental Studies from York, and a bachelor's degree in English from McGill. Michael provides governance advice to First Nations, handles dispute resolution, and has land claims litigation experience involving Treaty rights, traditional territory, Aboriginal rights, and Aboriginal title.
