The Law Office of Meleni David is a personal injury firm based in Scarborough, at 885 Progress Avenue. Founder Meleni David immigrated to Canada from Sri Lanka in 1995, after starting law studies there that were interrupted when the schools closed during a period of conflict. In Toronto, David built up an academic record at York University while working as a supply teacher, then trained as a lawyer at Osgoode Hall Law School as a mature student. An articling position at a personal injury firm followed graduation, and the practice on Progress Avenue opened the same day David was called to the Ontario Bar, starting with more than 100 client files taken over from a paralegal firm.

The firm concentrates on motor vehicle accident claims, both accident benefits and tort claims, along with slip and fall cases and notary and commissioning services. It's a small team: alongside David, lawyer Ramona Pimentel, a Queen's University law graduate, also practices personal injury litigation there.
