About Ruffo Law

Ruffo Law is a Toronto criminal defence practice led by Angela Ruffo, who was called to the bar in 2013. The practice covers the full range of criminal litigation, from trial matters in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice to appellate work at the Ontario Court of Appeal, along with Ontario Review Board hearings. Clients face both criminal and regulatory charges, and other lawyers bring Ruffo Law in for complex litigation support, including Charter applications, legal drafting, and difficult appeals.

The practice also acts for lawyers under investigation by the Law Society of Ontario and facing discipline proceedings before the Law Society Tribunal, including capacity matters, a niche within Ontario's criminal defence bar. Ruffo Law is licensed with the Law Society of Ontario and holds memberships in the Criminal Lawyers' Association and the Canadian Bar Association. Legal Aid Ontario lists the practice among those approved to take on extremely serious matters.
