Paul Cooper Family Law is a Toronto firm that practises exclusively in family law, out of an office at 4580 Dufferin Street, Suite 500. The team is made up of six lawyers along with a senior family law clerk, a family law clerk, and a paralegal who is also a notary public. The firm covers the full range of family law work: custody and access under Ontario's Children's Law Reform Act, travel consent orders when a child needs a passport or trip abroad and a parent won't agree, child support calculations that account for self-employment income, spousal support assessed under the applicable guidelines, divorce and property division, separation agreements and marriage contracts, and Children's Aid Society matters.

On marriage contracts, the firm says it drafts agreements around each couple's own situation rather than filling out a template, explaining rights and flagging gaps before anything is signed. In child protection cases, it describes helping clients from the first contact with a Children's Aid Society investigation through court and reunification planning. The firm accepts Legal Aid certificates, and for clients who make too much to qualify it says it will negotiate a reduced hourly rate or a payment plan. One member of the support staff, Hellen Geller, holds credentials as a family mediator and a Voice of the Child Reporter, roles used to bring a child's perspective into custody and access disputes outside the courtroom.
