About Paradigm Law Group

Paradigm Law Group is a Toronto criminal law firm at 55 University Avenue, founded in August 2016 by three criminal lawyers, Robin Parker, Angela Chaisson, and Emma Rhodes, who set up a shared practice after years of solo and associate work. A 2016 profile in Precedent Magazine described the founders building the firm around a collaborative structure. The firm today is led by Robin Parker, who continues the practice from the same University Avenue address and now also handles matters in Ottawa.

Robin Parker was called to the Ontario bar in 1996 after a law degree from Dalhousie University, then worked as a federal prosecutor before moving into defence work, arguing cases at all levels of court across Ontario, Iqaluit, and the Northwest Territories, where Parker was formerly also a member of the territorial law society. The practice covers criminal and quasi-criminal litigation, youth justice matters, Law Society of Ontario discipline hearings, and workplace investigations into harassment and human rights complaints. Robin Parker holds a Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University (2008) and a workplace investigator certification from the University of Toronto.
