About HenryLaw

HenryLaw Office is a solo immigration and family law practice in North York, run by Barrister and Solicitor Henry Igbinoba. Igbinoba graduated from Ambrose Alli University in 1996 and attended the Nigerian Law School the following year. Early in that career came a stretch with the Nigerian Police Force alongside work at PM PREFA and Associates, then a move in 1999 to the law office of Femi Falana & Falana, whose principal Femi Falana is a Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist. A private practice followed in 2001.

After coming to Canada, Igbinoba worked at the law office of Kingsley Jesuorobo & Associate, an immigration and family law firm at the same North York address where HenryLaw is located today, before being called to the bar in Alberta in August 2016 and at the Law Society of Upper Canada, Ontario, in 2017. HenryLaw's immigration work runs from family sponsorship and Express Entry to refugee claims and humanitarian and compassionate applications, and the family law side covers divorce, custody, and support matters. Igbinoba is on the Legal Aid Ontario roster for refugee law and lists English and Igbo as languages spoken with clients.

The neighbourhood

HenryLaw's office is at Keele Street and Finch Avenue West, in the York University Heights part of North York. The Finch West subway station sits at that same intersection, giving clients a direct TTC connection without needing a car. The surrounding area, which includes the neighbouring Jane and Finch community, has long been one of Toronto's most ethnically diverse and immigrant heavy corners of the city, a setting that fits naturally with a practice built around immigration law.
