Garson Immigration Law practices exclusively in immigration law, from a single office on Yonge Street in North York. Founding partner David L.P. Garson has practiced immigration law since 1988, earning a law degree from the University of Windsor, being called to the Ontario bar in 1990, and later becoming admitted to the Massachusetts bar. Garson became a Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law in 2000. The firm has since grown to a second partner, two additional lawyers, and separate managers for its Canadian and U.S. immigration teams.

The practice covers both Canadian and U.S. immigration work, from citizenship, permanent residence, and temporary residence applications to business compliance and inadmissibility matters, plus U.S. E-visas, L1 intra-company transfer visas, and TN visas for professionals. Its clients come from technology, engineering, entertainment and sports (including musicians), real estate investment, manufacturing, mining, consulting, and financial services. Partner Randolph K. Hahn holds a doctorate from Oxford and a master's degree from the London School of Economics along with a law degree from McGill, and serves as an associate editor of the Immigration Law Reporter. Garson and Hahn co-edited A Practical Guide to Provincial Nominee Programs in Canadian Immigration Law, published by Carswell in 2011.
