About Nadia Guo

Nadia Guo Defence is a solo criminal defence practice based in Toronto, serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area. Nadia Guo was called to the Ontario bar in 2019, holding a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School (2015) and an Honours BA in English and Cinema Studies from the University of Toronto, completed with Dean's List standing. Before starting the practice, Guo worked at several Toronto criminal law offices and, while still in law school, represented low income clients at Downtown Legal Services, a legal aid clinic, on summary offence cases and appeals.

The practice covers a wide range of matters, from minor assault charges to first-degree murder, including bail hearings, sentencing, trials, and appeals across GTA courthouses. Guo has also represented professional licensee candidates in good character hearings. The office operates by appointment only, Monday to Friday, in downtown Toronto, with remote consultations available by videoconference for clients who prefer not to meet in person.

The practice accepts Legal Aid Ontario certificates in the GTA region, offers block fees for most court matters and hourly rates starting at $200 per hour plus HST for other work, and takes on pro bono cases for indigent clients when there is a public interest reason, such as a Charter rights issue or an appeal under section 684(1) of the Criminal Code.
