Millar Kreklewetz LLP is a small Toronto firm that practices only tax and trade law. Rob Kreklewetz and Jack Millar founded it in 1996, a year after the International Tax Review had already ranked their commodity tax practice first in Canada. The firm has stayed narrow by design ever since, covering GST/HST and other commodity taxes, income tax, and customs and international trade work, along with the litigation that follows those files through the Tax Court of Canada, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, provincial superior courts, and the Supreme Court of Canada. In 1999 Lexpert Magazine called the practice a "brand name for commodity tax and international trade work," and in 2007 World Tax described its client base as "stellar."

The firm also has a long-standing niche advising direct selling companies that want to enter the Canadian market, handling tax structuring, provincial licensing, and compliance with Canada's anti-pyramid rules. It says it has worked with over 225 direct selling clients over more than 30 years and has assisted four of the last six winners of the Direct Sellers Association's Rising Star Award. It describes its clients as national and international leaders in almost every industry sector, and its office today is at 10 Lower Spadina Avenue in Toronto's Harbourfront area.
