About Milburn & Associates

Milburn & Associates is a small employment law firm at 10 King Street East in downtown Toronto. Founding partner A. Jane Milburn has practiced employment law and commercial litigation since being called to the bar in 1997, appearing at every level of the Ontario courts and at mediations and arbitrations. Milburn's practice centres on employment terminations, written offers of employment, constructive dismissal and international assignments, and includes particular experience with employment issues facing executives in the financial services and mining industries, along with discrimination, harassment and bullying matters.

The rest of the team isn't large either. Associate Shelby Matthews, a University of Toronto law graduate, has practiced employment law exclusively since being called to the bar and has litigated in Ontario's Divisional Court. Associate Jack Day completed the combined J.D. and Honours Business Administration program through Western University's law school and the Ivey Business School, then articled at a Bay Street firm working on securities and commercial litigation before joining Milburn & Associates. Law clerk Ane Lowe has worked as a law clerk in Toronto for more than twenty years, with extensive experience on complex litigation files, including employment matters.
