The firm was founded by Richard Fink and Elinor Bornstein. Bornstein graduated from the University of Windsor, was called to the bar in 1981, and has represented injured workers for more than 30 years. Fink is a Law Society of Ontario certified specialist in Workplace Safety and Insurance Law with more than 30 years of landlord and tenant litigation experience, an area Fink no longer actively practises in. Alan McConnell earned a law degree from McGill University in 1993, previously worked at Smith, Lyons, Torrance, Stevenson & Mayer, and has practised employment law, including wrongful dismissal and human rights matters, at the firm since 1999. Josh Kirshenblat worked in a number of industries after graduating from the University of Victoria in 2011, including as part owner of a small bike messenger co-op, before completing the Ryerson Law Practice Program in 2019 and joining the firm in 2020 to lead its landlord and tenant practice.
