Crossing Frontiers Immigration Law is a small cross border immigration practice founded in 2023 by Alyssa Hussein. Hussein is licensed to practice in Michigan and Alberta, which lets the firm work on both sides of the Canada U.S. border. Before starting the practice, Hussein worked with multinational technology and manufacturing companies and with early stage startups, and has international experience across the Middle East and Asia. The working office is at 110 Sheppard Avenue East in Toronto. The firm also keeps a mailing address in Calgary, though Toronto is where the practice actually operates.

The practice concentrates on business and employment based immigration for growing companies and their employees. On the U.S. side, it handles L-1, O-1, H-1B, TN and E category work visas, along with EB-1, EB-2 National Interest Waiver and EB-3 permanent residence and family or marriage based green cards. On the Canadian side, it covers work permits, LMIAs, permanent residence, and spousal or partner sponsorship, and it added a citizenship by descent service after Bill C-3 removed the old first generation limit in December 2025. Hussein built the firm around a single attorney model: the lawyer clients speak with on the first call is the one who manages the file through to filing, rather than handing it off to paralegals or case managers.
