About Cotton-O'Brien Law

Cotton O'Brien Law is a solo criminal defence practice in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood, founded by Cameron Cotton-O'Brien. The firm represents clients across Ontario in bail hearings, criminal trials, and criminal appeals, handling charges that range from assault, sexual assault, and domestic violence to drug and firearm offences, theft, and impaired driving. Before law school, Cotton-O'Brien did graduate research in political theory at McGill University, producing a thesis on the right to justification in criminal punishment, taught classes on ancient political thought and the ethical philosophy of Aristotle and Nietzsche, and spent time as a visiting doctoral researcher at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
