About Beigel Law

Beigel Law is a solo immigration practice based in Toronto. Its founder, Kevin Beigel, has practiced Canadian and U.S. immigration and nationality law exclusively since 1997, focusing on business immigration and cross-border matters for corporate and institutional clients around the world. Beigel was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996 and later admitted as an attorney in New York and Massachusetts in 2001, a combination that lets the firm work a single file on both sides of the border.

Beigel founded the practice in 2009, after working as a partner at Guberman Garson Bush in Toronto. Beigel holds an LL.B. and a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and is a Certified Specialist in Immigration Law, a designation granted by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Beigel has also written as a business immigration columnist for Carswell's Legal Alert Bulletin and once sat as a panel member during the Government of Canada's Parliamentary Standing Committee hearings on the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Who handles what

The neighbourhood

Beigel Law's office sits at 4576 Yonge Street, in the Lansing neighbourhood of North York, along a stretch of Yonge Street lined with mid-rise commercial towers rather than a courthouse district. The building is a seven minute walk from the Sheppard-Yonge subway station, where Line 1 meets the Sheppard line, and it has easy reach to Highway 401. For a firm that regularly works with Canadian-U.S. border ports and American pre-flight facilities on behalf of corporate clients travelling in and out of the city, that kind of transit and highway access is a practical fit rather than an incidental one.
