The Toronto office at 69 Elm Street is in a row of three attached Edwardian brick houses built around 1903 to 1909, which replaced earlier wood-frame buildings on the site. In 2021 City heritage staff recommended the row and its neighbours toward Bay Street for Toronto's Heritage Register, as the only group left from that early period on this block of Elm between Bay and Elizabeth, inside the old St. John's Ward. The same few blocks were home to Toronto's forgotten Greenwich Village in the 1950s and '60s.
